All TF Weims get a full health screening from our Veterinarian!
Your puppy has been seen by a licensed veterinarian. Our vet has been caring for our Weimaraners for over 10 years. Your puppy's first visit was between 3-5 days of age. The first visit the vet looked your puppy over then docked it's tail and removed the dew claws. This is done at a very early age before the nerves are fully developed and doesn't hurt the puppy. The next visit is at 7 1/2 weeks of age. At this visit the vet gives the puppy a more through look over. A stool sample is taken and they are treated for any parasites and worms. The vet then administers the puppies first round of shots. This includes a combination of inmmunogenic, attenuated strains of Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus type 2, Canine Parainfluenza and Canine Parvovirus. Next your puppy is micro chipped for its forever return. All of this information will be in the Pet Health Record for your keeping. It is your job to have your puppy examined by your veterinarian once it has came home and followed up with a set of booster shots.
Your Puppy has been microchipped! Here is your next step.
We take great strides to ensure your puppy has had the best care and comes to you all ready to be yours forever. So now it is your turn to keep him forever! The microchipped that has been implanted in your puppy is an AKC ReUnite microchip. It is linked to your puppies AKC registration. The microchip is the size of a grain of rice and is located behind the neck between the should blades. The microchip number can be found in your puppies Pet Health Record. Here at the farm we ensure that all puppies leave microchipped. This is not negotiable! We have taken the time and paid for this to ensure a safe return in the event your puppy becomes lost or stolen. The microchip is listed in the farms name it is your job to have the chip transferred to your name. This is super important if you don't transfer the microchip to your name it will always be listed under the farm and in the case of an emergency AKC ReUnite will contact us and not you. Transferring the microchip is simple. It will cost you about $17.00 for the life of your dog. Just click on the link below and follow the instructions from AKC ReUnite.
